2009-01-15 // 01:43:40 emilie79 oh, so im not the only one having trouble with the framing then, phew :) yeah, its crazy how everything can suddenly get so blurry and out of focus at the slight little move - i dont quite understand how it works... anyway, wont trouble your comment box with more technical details, but might send you more through email, one of these days - with pics of that weird kit thing. thanks for the info anyway, I'd no idea there were two versions of the 180! that might be it...
2009-01-15 // 01:31:14 emilie79 im pretty admirative of your work with 180 + close up lens - somehow i find it very hard to get a good focus with mine (cant see anything in the focus window when the kit is on + weird thing: eventhough the kit is definitely the appropriate one, it doesnt quite seem to fit the focus window - so ive ended up using it totally randomly!). Anyway. great focus. great light. great colours. great chicken. great job :)

thank you my dear. it was a very patient chicken, i was about 5 inches away!! i don't know what the problem is with your close up kit, sometimes things come in focus for me and other times not, if it moves only slightly everything looks like a hideous blur. i find framing very hard as with close- up, every little movement makes huge changes in the picture, and with the different position of the viewfinder in relation to the lens, i always raise the camera, and then everything goes out of focus! its frustrating and a mixture of luck and patience. it seems very odd though that it doesnt fit- you have to force it onto the viewfinder...i hear though that there are two versions of the 180 with slightly different viewfinders - or maybe its an adaptation or something but that might explain it...?
