Thank you for explanations and kind response.
I never tast Umeboshi, but I will try to see if I can found some of them at Japan supermakt here in Düsseldorf. Japan community is here enough important and we can found some interesting products.
When I was young my mother had a nice tree we called in France "Pommier du Japon" (= Apple tree of Japan) I don't know if it's the same tree. But I loved a lot this tree, with uncredible red flowers...

rdekv, thank you again! Umeboshi is very trditional food in Japan. People make rice ball with it. Very salty and sour. eat it few is good!
I prefer eat apples. Apple is one of my favourite foods! Your mother made lovely name! I am really glad to hear that:)

Plum blossoms have very lovely colour and soul of Asian. I hope these tree are going to another countries. We have a culture, to eat this plum's fruit that calls Umeboshi.
