Are you aware of Pinback-related bands out there? There are The Ladies (Rob Crow of Pinback and Zach Hill of Hella playing quirky ditties,) Goblin Cock (Rob Crow of Pinback plus a number of friends doing Black Sabbath-like sludge metal) and of course Rob Crowe doing his solo stuff on occasion. If you like Pinback's soft pop sensibilities you might enjoy Three Mile Pilot, which were Zack Smith's (of Pinback) old band. I was a big fan of theirs and it was through Zack Smith that I started paying attention to Pinback. If you're going to check out any of Three MIle Pilot's music, look for tracks off of Chief Assassin to the Sinister, their best album.
