I'm spoiled so we go to Sing Sing on St. Marks and get a private room. We are not such good singers that I want to do it in front of lots of people. I do keep meaning to do the Punk/Metal Karaoke at Arlene's but I'm rarely that drunk on a Sunday night. Rarely but it happens so we'll see!

^ Ha. Yeah, friends and I tend to rent private karaoke rooms at a local Korean karaoke studio as well. But not for a lack of confidence or ambition - some of us (i.e. myself) are just too insane for most public audiences. Punk/Metal karaoke sounds excellent, also. We got a punk/indie rock karaoke operation here in Austin called Underground Karaoke that are building a pretty good catalogue of otherwise impossible to find songs (mostly late 80s through 90s indie and punk stuff.) Thanks for the Sing Sing tip. I'll be in the city end of August and if the karaoke bug strikes while I'm visiting, I might go :-) Wheehee!

Oh Veselka. I was just there Saturday night or actually early Sunday morning for some post karoke/drinking pierogies. There are definitely some interesting things happening in all the little corners there.

^ Did you return from Piano's from some Karaoke Killed The Cat action? I checked that out once while I was up there. Or do you have a better karaoke tip for that neck of the woods?
