I agree with everybody's sentiments about the beauty of light and darkness here. I have a big soft spot for color exposures which appear almost devoid of color. As beautiful as this captured moment is, it also makes me think of the dull and musty smells in hotel rooms such as this one. Which isn't altogether bad, because it means that the picture evocative enough to give me a sense memory flashback. Nice.

Yes, yes, the light, but let's not neglect to comment on the darkness! It's so velvety, engulfing and soft around the edges like a comforting blanket over the crisp white sheets.
