actually, i just did a quickquick research and can't really vouch. the only entry i found was a mailinglist entry from 1997 during documenta times, where i actually also got it from.

i know. you know there is this saying about optimists and pessimists? dont remember it exactly right now, but it's like if you appear pessimistic it means you're an optimist because it means you have the idea of how it could be. and so.
anyway. looks like you had at least a pleasant drink ;-)

^ yes--i know this quote that you mean--do you know the one that says something like: the basis of optimism is sheer terror? i think that's so true, it hurts.
