^ no, not staged. he was merrily playing in the water - i say merrily, what i mean is icingly - and i was taking pictures on the bank (which i might upload in a minute) and then thought "shit, that would make a nice photo". so i whipped off the close up lens (the goggles were stuck, hence the focus) and snapped.
