^ Ich versuch das ins Deutsche zu übersetzen: Im Stück Midsummer Night's Dream gibt es die Idee, dass irgendwelche kapriziöse Zabuerwesen uns Menschen zu Narren machen. Sie mischen sich spontan ein und beeinflüssen, das, was die Menschen wahrnehmen oder nicht wahrnehmen, was sie sehen und empfinden. So entscheiden diese Wesen, wie alles im Leben der Menschen, auf der sie zufällig treffen, ausgeht. Es geht hier vor allem um die Liebe. Sie verzaubern Menschen und bewirken, dass zwei, die normal überhaupt nicht füreinander bestimmt sind, zusammenkommen, oder dass Menschen, die zusammengehören, auseinandergebracht werden. So beschreibt Shakespeare die Unverständlichkeit und Unberechenbarkeit des Phämomens Liebe, und die Art in der die Liebe einem die Sicht der Realität völlig verdrehen kann, einem kontrollieren kann und einem zum Narren halten kann. Diese Idee hat mich hier inspiriert.

Is his guitar a phallic symbol? Like, you're trying to steal his mojo, but chance is on his side. I have the feeling i lack some shakespearian reference to fully understand this series.

^ There isn't a directly identifiable Shakespeare reference in here - though it is inspired by the idea in a Midsummer Night's Dream that mischievous magical forces can make fools of us and that they can decide the outcomes of human events and lives by casting enchantments on a momentary whim that interfere with what mortals see or feel. Under enchantments, star-crossed lovers can be magically brought together and lovers who are meant to be together can be driven apart. I think that the enchantments were Shakespeare's metaphor for the incomprehensible and unpredictable nature of love and the way it can completely distort your view, control your life and make a fool out of you. The series is also inspired by the tiny little pixies that live in your camera and decide whether your expired SX-70 film is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen or a murky piece of crap.
