2009-10-01 // 09:49:09 parahanga I like your experiments! So do you place the negative in bleach as soon as the shot is taken? Regular household bleach? I am not familiar with this process, but that looks pretty cool!
For this picture, I did the (unsuccessful) transfer and bleaching negative within 30 mins of taking the photo. I used household bleach (Domestos Grot Buster) after taping the negative to an old CD case. I also tried this method on some polaroid negatives, but it didn't work. I guess Fuji FP100B and FP100C have different backing materials to polaroid. Normally, people tend to invert the scan in photoshop but I liked how the colors turned out in this one.
2009-10-01 // 07:35:28 merge Nice - mine have all turned out with a greenish tint, though I have started to "warm" to it, plus I get a lot of noise and texture, even when I'm trying not to. Just for some food for thought regarding the scanner issue, I'm using the Epson v750 with SilverScan - I've had good luck with it so far. Those puppies get pretty expensive after that prosumer model...

Thanks Merge! The Epson v750 sounds like a good option, I should start saving those pennies. This is the only negative I have bleached so far, and doing a transfer first would have introduced a lot of texture. I'll have to try a "clean" negative next to see how much texture exists normally.
