your backdrop/non-horizon
is reminding me a good deal of Monterey

so many days
a heavy fog
no horizons to see
no sun at all

but
we can always draw up our own horizons
yes
yes we can

*your shadow seems most curious about something
or somebody... with how he leans

^
thanks Nikki.

and yes, yes you did indeed draw up a fine horizon. brilliant.

i wasn't sure what to expect from my shadow. every time i turned to look it moved. :-)

would really love to see your rubber boots xproject submission!
;-)

^
"hope you find your thing again" that's what my wife said! ;-)

ps/ i like you guys too much to submit my rubber boots to xposed.
shy too.

[one of my favourite horizons, for sure]
^
i did manage to to place my shoulder shadow in that spot.
wish we could submit more. fun project.
^
i made a couple of self-portraits today.
my first since this.
one 59 & one 55.
the 55 has a much more acidic smell than the 59.

i'd forgotten how much i miss those odors.
-
-
-
they're drying now.

j.
^
Edit:...

54, not 55.
still more acidic scent.
(more than 59)
(not sure about the 55, haven't shot it in a long time)....
i need some sodium sulfite.

will scan soon.

/ps - i look about the same.
;-)

congratulations for this well deserved award.

still have your film in my frigde and hoping for the necessery muse to kiss me to use it. (means: my obligations are not forgotten, and the film is not wasted. yet. )

^
thanks arne.

best of luck with the muse. if the photos are for the xposed section you'll have to email me a sample or two. i'm way too shy to seek admittance in that lofty relam.

i just (finally) got a lens for 4x5 & will finally get to try some 4x5 again. been a long while since i've had that option.

^
Thank you so much Emilie.
Oh yes, I did receive that letter. Thought I had acknowledged that actually. My apologies for for that rudeness. My memory is weak regarding recent times.

ah ah ! a hell of a come-back !

Now what to do next. When I have a theme (project) I can shoot. Otherwise I just wonder.
Thanks again Zvevi.

this is a great portrait and it kinda reminds me of the 'ira goldstein' commercials we have here in nz :) congrats on your SOTD!
^
Thank you parahanga. I'll have to google these ira goldstein commercials you speak of. I can't imagine a commercial with this kind of image selling anything. I 'm intrigued.

I never met a shadow I didn't like. This is a great picture. I'm jealous actually. I need a king size sheet dammit.
^
I so happy you like my shadow esmarelda. I've learned to like it too as I can't seem to get rid of it.
Thanks esmarelda. You've paid me a very nice compliment. Much appreciated.

No surprise this made its way to the cover, no surprise at all. Undeniable proof that we'd like to see you more often around!
^
Thanks Uri.
Undeniably I should never have left. Now, what to do next. A good browse around is in order.

welcome back, jeff ! This picture is absolutly you. And the "no horizon" tag sounds logical... for the time being. Time to get out, now.
^
Thanks Zvevi. I was listening to my LP copy of the original soundtrack recording of "The Sound of Music" as I made this. It was hard to maintain the neutral facial expression as I desperately tried not to smile. ;-)

Time to go out.

wish
Mr.Magritte would have liked you anyway :)
^
Thanks wish. Now I look at the hat shadow more closely. Good observation and comment.

My.Iowa

Utterly happy that you and your shadow put on glasses and found your way back here, dear Ore!!

That ultra-neutral backdrop is wonderful...
is that a bespoke tie featuring the Blues Brothers?

^
Thank you much My.Iowa.

The glasses are quite a necessity, if I want to see that is.

The boss said neutral if you're not outside, so... ;-)

The tie? Why that's a vintage Joe Cool (aka Snoopy) tie. Glad you noticed.

Great photo and outfit!

^
Thanks Dimitris. I was quite happy to get a decent shot and take that outfit off.

Next time I won't take so long to continue IS.
