^ i toltally know what you mean- i have accumulated this set up in bits here and there.... eventually i realised i had all the bits i needed, my setup is basic but with a few more bits it will improve. If you can take a good picture though you can take one with anything....

which lens did you get going for the 4x5? Funny how LF lenses have that miniturisation effect. I've discovered that my old schneider 90mm mounts perfectly in a 600SE shutter, so I should be able to use that again soon and I've just got the most beautiful Mamiya lens I've ever seen from Japan. I should take some pics and stop waffling!

^ I do indeed! It's some schneider thing- I stole it from my Crown Graphic- haven't really looked at it- just needed a lens to get it going and see how I like it before investing! I now want something a bit more portable- a proper medium format camera....
