2010-02-15 // 15:41:41 Inkiworld Ok, so I've tried this another time with a dry polaroid. But the watercolour doesn't bleed through :( Maybe I'm asking to much, but maybe you can make a picture of you watercoloring a polaroid? :) I would love for it to work! Hope you can help :) Thanks!
2010-02-12 // 18:53:15 Inkiworld Thanks for your help! Absolutely trying this later on with some dry ones ;)
2010-02-12 // 16:24:25 Inkiworld Hi! I love you watercolour polaroids :)
I've tried it myself today, but I think I'm doing it wrong.
I have some questions, I hope you will answer :)
When do you peel the polaroid apart?
When do you start painting? When it's completely dry? and on witch side do you paint? The white side or the side with to photo on it? :) Thank you so much!

HI, I'm so glad you like my polaroids! They are so fun to make.
I've only used dry polaroids so I'm guessing it might not work with fresh and wet ones(?)
Heres what I do:
I use an x-acto knife and turn the polaroid face down and cut around the edges of the negative (the black part) and then pulled the two pieces apart and saved the back for later to be taped back on. Then I use watercolors on top of the chemicals on the positive side (the back of the photo); they almost instantly blead through and "stain" the image. I hope this makes sense; its kind of like painting backwards.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me & have fun!
