Raymond, to get the negatives flat you can use the glas of a cheap non-glare picture frame to avoid newton rings.

is this a scan of the negative?...what type of scanner do you have?

yes, itīs a negative scan. I have an Epson V700, which is OK, but you need better negative holders than the ones that comes with the scanner, otherwise it wonīt be flat and therefore not sharp (works fine for web though).
Iīve heard that these: »link are good. I think g. uses them...
