2010-08-19 // 05:05:07 john_gee Great Px70!!! Sunflowers are indeed a pleasure to have. The PX70 film has some hidden virtues once they're discovered. One thing about using the flexi-shield, it helps to combat the edge fogging and promotes greater color fidelity on the PX70.
I understand about scanning enhancement for PX70...I try to match the original contrast and brightness. The only one that wasn't was 'The Baby prefers the One in Middle' it was experimental and I wanted to show the texture and wasn't concerned about the color because Px70 has such a low contrast.

thanks, and greets to the desert of long shadows!
I still find the 'texture' paper-look very interesting...

yes, it shows some unique structures indeed. they may look like scanner-artifacts at some people's uploads, but they have their origin in the film's haptic.
2010-08-17 // 16:31:52 birdclaws have you found it to be more or less forgiving to light and temperature than the b&w integral?
I have some coupons, but had a roomate move out suddenly, had my car break, and my actual paycheck keeps bouncing, so I haven't had any income in 3 weeks. Maybe next week. :)

it's easier. on the other hand, it's not hot here anymore.
i press thumbs for you. (and don't forget about the pz. niiice. to early to say sth about stability, but looks far better so far)
2010-08-17 // 15:50:37 birdclaws so this is what the film actually looks like.
I was a little unsure that maybe everyone was scanning it strange, but I know your scans are the most accurate.
As soon as I get money, I would like to play with this.

better what it _can_ look like. it's easy to get just the 'blues', but also possible to get more (why i wrote all the tips). it's potential in there, and by all limitations still, i think it also shows some superior qualities already.
yup, this just looks like in hand. it's a bit wierd actually, to hold in hand. i can't yet bring these silky seeming muted tones together with the glossy surface.
the most colourful ones that are around are 'enhanced scanned' most probably; i can easily reproduce it while playing with some curves. but it also shows that basically, the film is not totally wrong. i think if you consider to play with a roll of tungsten film in daylight, you have a good starting point.
no more coupons to trade in?
