do you do some color correction on some of these?...the border on the bottom is normally white..nice lovely photo by the way.

HI Raymond, I sometimes adjust curves if I want them more contrasty but I am not too sure why the border is black .. I am looking at original and it has a lot of emulsion left on and is very yellow .. maybe something to do with scan .. If you look at the my image 'fern' the border is almost white .. I do nothing different so I can't really explain .. thanks for stopping by :)

hi again ... you really got me thinking ... I think I have worked it out .. if it is overexposed and I want it darker the borders get darker and also it depends on how much emulsion/gloop is left on too :) I think the emulsion will always be a bit dark as it is yellow .. hope that makes sense :)
