what i mean is (judging from your scans): depending on the situation (yet to be described) the film seems to be _very_ contrasty. lacking the tones inbetween.

no, really I don't think it is. My scanner was crap and it went down during the test (i now have a new one... but not the pics anymore...); I slightly improved contrast on this one and a few others. The baby louis close-ups are much more close to reality (but they were over exposed by sunlight after exposure

There is more contrast, and real b&w. The sepia tone depends on the temperature (you got sepia when it's hot). If you touche the pic , there will be a reddish sport where you touched it.
