2011-03-08 // 14:28:22 sYzYgYsT I amaze myself sometimes (not often). I was looking at Petersens' book on Polaroid Photography from 1974 and saw a shot of elephants takens with 3000 speed film on page 16. I thought "hmmm...I've seen that before..:" When I saw one of your shots from the same museum I made my way here and found this. Comparing yours and the book shows the same elephants. Dad, baby reaching up to Mom, similar ground. The one in the book was shot from about 10-15 feet to the left and further back showing birds in a puddle in the foreground and doesn't include the branches. chinako has a similar shot in color. No photo credi given in the book. If your email is in your profile I'll send a shot of the book. If not and you want one email me.

wow! that is wild! i am amazed that you have such a good memory! i just took this shot last week at the nat hist museum in los angeles. i knew it was quite the popular thing to do, but didn't realize HOW popular. i've been going around to museums in my area and taking pictures of art, it's just something to do at this point...not sure of what i'll do with it. i would love to see a shot of the page though!
