I know what you mean about patience. Taking just normal Polaroids already means accepting a lot of inconveniences - dragging big, heavy bags of film around with you and then fighting with your equipment for hours with no guaranteed result. And then there's the humiliation of knowing that people watching your battles are thinking you must be some kind of useless amateur and you should just buy a normal little digital camera and stop making all the fuss. LF Polaroids seem to involve all of those elements and take them to a whole new level of frustration. You think you're used to feeling like a deluded nutcase, but no. You have not even begun to develop your full potential for insanity in the eyes of your family until they have witnessed you trying to take simple LF Polaroids of a cat in the back garden.
I'm still waiting for the shot that will turn this ordeal from a rage/hate relationship to a love/hate relationship.
