Für mich eines der beeindruckendsten Bilder des Jahres 2011,
weil es mich an die alten Comics/Cartoons der 30/40'er Jahre erinnert (bin ein großer Fan der der Zeit).
Die Farben, das Motiv, der Blick die Haltung, sogar die Frisur & vieles mehr. Die deutenden Finder sind eine echt geniale Idee gewesen.

Passt einfach alles.
Das musst ich einfach los werden.

^ Vielen Dank! Die Idee für das Bild hatte ich schon lange. Es ging mir irgendwie nicht aus dem Kopf. Interessant ist, dass ich zwar nicht an Comics dachte, aber sehr wohl an die Ästhetik der 30er/40er Jahre. Ich bin beeindruckt, dass Du eine Verbindung gemacht hast. Ich dachte eher an die Art, in der man damals gefilmt hat, vor allem in Thriller, Krimis und Gruselfilme - nicht realistisch sondern einerseits theatralisch und andererseits sehr fotografisch mit dramatischen Schatten und sehr genau aufgebaut. Wie fühlt sich ein schwarzweißer Held, wenn Technicolor plötzlich seine Welt erobert?

The other day i was trying to figure out how to attach the ground glass.. i'm ofg a bad start alrdedeady and it's noteven loaded with film yet..

That´s very strange... it seems like a recurrent nightmare of mine. Do you have an open eye inside of me or so?

^ I think we all feel like this from time to time, don't we? But in answer to your question: yes. I haunt the nightmares of Polanoiders by night. If you look carefully, you might see me in a dark corner with a camera and a light meter.
