i dreamed of making this picture wearing and holding all my cameras, but never had the time to do it. "You dreamed of it, Orezemit did it"...

You can still do it too.

I remember years ago I read on the website of polaroid germany the 20x24 (inch!) camera is travelling through germany at certain foto shops, offering to take portraits. While reading, I already decided to go there just like you here on this picture. As a.) what else? just fits. and b.) I thought I'd sure get a good chance in case there'd be more people than possibilities.
Unfortunately, I than had to read it already happened the day before. Sigh.

Nice to see what the Korona saw for the first time after years of sleeping :)
Perfect occasion.

ps/
you really should get a supercolor . not only they look good - they are damn fine, honestly. the way the flash works (lightmixer programm) is amazing, and as long as you use it within it's sweet spot, it gives truly nice snaps one can even compose perfectly. I often take it with me if I'm too lazy for something else, go to rough parties or think a rainbow would just throw a smile on peoples faces.

^
Too bad you missed the really big camera by a day. In '92 I was at the show of a friend (Phil Bekker) featuring his 8x10 & 20x24 works. They brought one of the cameras to Atlanta & I managed to get my picture made. Wish I at least had a scan of it.

Fun to use the Korona. You'll see. ;)

The Supercolor looks like one of the models I have (can't remember which). Maybe Supercolor was a name not sold in the US. I like the 680 or 690 SLR for easy/fun stuff. But with original 600 film.

Nice job. I agree, for first lot very impressive. Did my own self-portrait with the new film, too, but did not think to bring all my Polaroids to the party. Good thinking. »link

Thanks. I'm very pleased & impressed.

Yes, self portraits are very tricky with the 8x10. I think we probably have the same camera. For this one I used a friends camera (before I send it to him) but usually I use my B&J (the folding bed style). I had the bellows stretched all the way yesterday for a self - 28". I missed the focus a bit though.

I was told by Impossible USA that they're hoping to sell the final version of this film by mid-July 2012! As for the price, they say it will be more than $99US for 15 sheets.
^
I hope they start selling soon. I am curious about the final price too. Hope it's not too much more.

got the film in the post yesterday, the processor is paid for and on its way! just have to figure out if ill need the loading tray for mine or not.. if i do ill have to ask Doc' for a instant favor :P

cant wait to see more with this AHHMAZING FILM!

^
I guess you've probably figured out the tray situation. I have both types but prefer the newer (81-06) ones because they're easier to load. You have a camera or are you going pinhole?

ps/ WE Need A NEW Project!

really exiting!! I've been told to rate the film as 800 isa. I have the film but wont be able to test it until this weekend. Yes, thanks for the notes.
^
It's quite nice. I've been using 800 as my base ISO but usually need to open up some from there in order to compensate for the bellows extension. Still getting used to it. Looking forward to see some from you.

wow! impossible doing 8x10 film??? awesomest piece of news i've heard in months!! have fun with the testing!
^
Yes, I can't believe it's finally been made, and I have some. ;)

I am having fun, but a very busy week is keeping from doing too much - which is probably good since it's close to $10 per shot.

Are you shopping for a "big" camera now? ;)

Speaking as someone who has a Polaroid 8x10 film holder and processor but who is not a "Pioneer," it is very good to see some results with this film. Thanks so much for your detailed notes and I look forward to the time when this is available to everyone.

^
I hope it's available to everyone soon.
It's going to be interesting to see what other formulas they decide to make.

You mentioned a processor & holder, but what camera will you use. These big cameras can be tricky. Especially for self portraits. Good luck.
