Gratulation :-)

I have been coming back to this image, like 5, 6, times now.
It's wonderful.
And - I'm honest here - it makes me think
DAMN, why isn't he uploading more images.

There'd be a lot of reasons...
The most profane, my equipment. It can take me hours to work a scan back to what it looks like in hand. And I don't see a reason to do it any different. It'd be more simple. Could make them even "better". But why so? If I work with Polaroids, it's about what you hold in hand. Can see on a wall. And I wouldn't ever want a disappointment. And until now, it always was like that.
The most simple, concerning the last year - simply my health. I didn't take much photos. Simply couldn't. And the ones I took - were piling up. Of course I did try to sit down and scan. But it wasn't healthy.
Another - how the site changed. It's still a home, and very precious to me, but sometimes it makes me really lack any enthusiasm to share. And such, my enthusiasm comes from my real life. And when it fits, and when I have the time, then I do. But of course, the more I am happy this "simple" old-school portrait, taken on material that doesn't exist anymore, that probably more than half of the people here even don't know anymore, made it on the front page. I think it's important. For the same reason, but not only, museums exist. Future doesn't exist without past. One could evaluate about this for hours. But if it makes only a few think for a few seconds about it - it could make a change. That's what it is all about.

But, thank you for your honesty. It touches me. And - I got it.
;)

I like what I see too.

An exceptional portrait.
An exceptional portraitist.
An exceptional description.

I like words. And I like to look after a word. Sometimes, it enables me to write a story around it, put in words what I saw. Is there to see.
And at the same time, they are as open as an image is, at best.
Or, as dear Tod Brilliant once said - images need words.
It's hard to describe.. in the end, it's like a portrait.
The biggest challenge.
The most interesting.
So, yes.
Thank you.

I have to agree….
Großartiges Portrait!

^
das ist schon lustig, wie dieses Wort von einem "native speaker" (naja, fast ;) bei einer so minimal unterschiedlichen Formulierung anders klingt. Etwas leichter und spontaner. Das geht leichter... Außerdem, was wäre man ohne Herausforderungen ;)
Der Berg ruft :)
