And I really did lol. Because I missed it during my first brief look, and because I know you do everything for a good reason.

And I really did become distracted, first by my phone, and then by my wife. Same source both times.

I always scan for the plus now too. I love details. And the digital loupe is nice for details.

Yes, the age is starting to catch up with these precious materials. The little that I've shot lately Im convinced that warmer than typical temperatures are needed. At least for a while. It seems to loosen the reagent a bit more. (A bit = a little in this case. ;)) And yes, you got it right. If you bite something now, and then refer to it later then you say I bit.

A very nice present for Jana's Mother. I'm curious, how was it presented? A nice simple frame, I hope.

I so need to begin using my film for more portraits - other than those of myself. I need a theme, an idea. Perhaps I should dig through old notes. I know I've had them - the ideas that is.

/on a side note - i do have another theme in the works - "the essentials". long overdue./

no need to say sorry...got my name mispelled 1000 times, hence my signature at work is g. since quite some time now :-)
^
:)

it's tricky with names, isn't it? I'm so used to hear my name in all pronounciations, be it french, or english, latvian...
but I have to say, since my danish friend tried to pronounce it the german way once, with her danish accent, I'm all for the way (at least try) to call a name, written or spoken, one grew up with.
As I melted away that very second. :)

(I think this is the first time I read an image analysis -or, description- from you, isn't it? However, I'm flattered if this made you doing so ;)

I liked it.
I got distracted.
I came back later.
I looked again.
I clicked +.
I loved it.
I saw the "tip".
I laughed, out loud, by myself.
I voted.
I faved.
I'll be back.

You're good.
Jana's lovely.

^
haha! my favorite part was "laughed, out loud, by myself".
always happy if I can do that.

the tip was (not only, but) for you. I know you as a fellow tip-reader. couldn't imagine you only read it later :)
I always scan for the plus. the normal size is, most of the times, a surprise. flickr is better in that ;)
..i want a retina. think it will change a bit.. we will see. I'll have hands on one the next days, so I will get a better idea of it.

And thank you deeply for the compliment. I nearly bit* in the bellows (well, not really, but what is a photographer to say?) that day, getting quite some un-whatever results. the material is really aging now. maybe it's just mine, but it's getting complicated.
I guess what I can't do anymore is, keeping a selection of sheets ready-to-use at room temperature. sigh.
Nice to see if one gets rewarded then.

she gave these two to her mother for christmas. it's an (unexpected) level to achieve I like. the same way why I like wedding photography.
portrait.

yes, she is.

(* is bit really the past tense form of to bite??)

Jana has such a lovely glow that constantly reflects billions of photons back to the universe... Thanks you for sharing a glimpse of her beauty with us, g.

That's wonderfully said. I'm glad if I caught that, as it's how I witness her - as a person.
And of course, as someone who likes this material for all it's glow and glory, I'm also awfully glad for the way the residues of the aged developer formed a sparkling ring of glow embracing her.
It's becoming more and more difficult to work with these old sheets. The more happy I am, when there are moments where it worked out, to work with the random, embracing the quirks.
