home as a metaphor
This living spaces project is very interesting. A great analysis of where we live, but even more profound is how we live. What we are satisfied with as our home. As I spent time looking about my flat where I reside now following the end of a five year relationship with my partner I see that my space is very transient. A hodge podge of materials which are there to give me a sense of space, a sense of belonging to some "where". It's a long way from my island home on the edge of Bowen Island just outside of Vancouver. There is no beauty here. Simply a place where I can catch my breath, and create new ventures once the heart heals.

it never ceases to amaze me how the arrangement of two or more images side by side can change the atmosphere and experience of an image.
