saffron and cool fire
For this Zink experiment, I took the backing off of the paper, then covered it in salt, to rub the glossy and stickiness off of it. I then rinsed it off and painted it with a solution of saffron (yes, the real stuff!) and water on both sides. I then added more salt, and then heated it up with a lighter from the bottom. I thought the salt might react with the paper when heated, but it didn't. However, I love the blues coming from this paper! I then let it dry on the kitchen counter. The salt won't come off; it's welded on! ;)
