Bedpans in the disused leper colony
Another shot from Chacachacare.

This is in the Nun's quarters- about 9 rooms now lying empty, only reachable by boat about 30 minutes from the mainland, and then ten minutes climbing through foliage with a machete....I used to come here when I was a wee ramscallion with my first boyfriend, Joey. He was a French Canadian boy whose parents were rather liberal and used to let us go sleep here for days on end- we didn't go to school you see. We'd come up here with sleeping bags, mosquito nets, food, and water and do things our parents wouldn't approve of.

Nowadays judging by the graffiti, the locals have got over their fear of the haunted colony where every person died in the 80s...everywhere there are scrawlings about cock-sucking, etc etc...but for some reason many things are untouched. Like these bedpans which are in the same place they were over ten years ago....
