2525 - the world was ordered, cataloged, clean, without surprises, digitized, every little aspect of everything was under control. No place without optimal ergonomic design, user-friendly, clean, sleek, streamlined, the world, the whole world was, so to say, ipod-ized. no riot, no resistance, no unwanted, unplanned feelings. Only those emotions that were available in the real-time-emotions- library, only a very small selection of little surprises were allowed, enough to spice up the lives, but no suffering, no fear, nothing that could lead to unhealthy levels of hormones or blood pressure.

One day people noticed the schwammerl. They grew into the designed reality - from somewhere outside- someplace beyond the total control. Unplanned. chaotic. unpredictable.

People were surprised, what happened to them, things that were forgotten for so long..fear at first, panic, their hearts started beating in unpredictable, chaotic patterns, not registered for so long.

Everywhere around the world, the schwammerl appeared and the medical monitors, that where hooked up to each entity ("human" had become something of an political uncorrect word, and was shunned globally) started beeping in hysteric tones.

The World was changing and that made people uncomfortable at first.

After a while, other behaviors where noticed again.
Interest, even curiosity, awe, and finally, even sympathy and love.

People had begun to feel again.
