Guardian wearing Glasses
funny thing is
I do not remember why exactly I took this photograph
I do know we for sure were cooking
with all the time it needs
and I think it was one last polaroid
I wanted to take with the camera
freeze frame.
time
is a weird thing
can run slow
can run fast
can be measured in time of occurrence
or intervals
I think I prefer the first only for my memory
to decipher the slow and fast
and of course to align with the surrounding
though I'd find it more romantic to say
let's meet at sunrise
what evolves over time
changes and constants
is way more what matters
and of substance
arresting attention is the modern currency
but locked up gets a lot what still is as well
and swell
and always have been
too much attention craving.
maybe it's just because I'm a child of the eighties
that I remember movies of the sixties with quotes like
"votre profession? oh. je suis sceptrice."
maybe it's because I grew up on the countryside
between creeks and lakes and in the woods
that a ladybug on a dashboard can be the most beautiful and important thing of a day
and is grabbing most of my attention
that I take pictures like this
without any cause
attentive, yes.
that for sure.
engraved with silver
and some light
squiring those
who are taking a walk within over time
leaving fingerprints on the doorframe
eventually
