I agree with Antoine... do what you want... as an artist/photographer you are granted that right to artistic expression...
but contributing to a site where commentary is enabled also allows for the viewers to critique and to offer some opinion and/or advice. I don't feel that anyone has exhibited any sort of great ego when reacting to your work... we're just one big happy community here and when comments come along that aren't so positive they should not be mistaken as unsupportiveness... all in all... it's just input... and if a photograph is worthy of any kind of reaction or input I see that as a good thing!
I'd like to see more of your work and I'm sure others feel the same! Keep shooting and posting... don't ever stop Polaroiding and always be on the lookout for new avenues of self-expression! Good luck! And have fun!

Don't listen to "everyone shared opinion", no matter about anything, just do what you want, some people have great ego and may think sometimes about more modesty...

it was only an opinion that I shared... Ihope you're not upset, but I just don't see how someone can think it's possible to be the opposite of what they are... you are what you are and you should embrace that... photochopping a pic doesn't make you something else... deep down inside you still are who you are... you're not some inverted, solarized pic. Photoshop filters can't really define a personality... you can hide behind them, but they certainly don't define a person.

I think the real you... the TRUE YOU... is not this Polaroid... but the non-inverted, non-Photo-chopped version of this 'roid! I do understand you have the right to artistic expression and artistic freedom, but manipulations just come off as being cheesy... not deep! There are many ways to non-digitally manip a Polaroid... do some research on the internet and perhaps you can find a better way of expressing yourself!

I don't have a problem with this. Just state photoshopped so people can know/learn the technique. Like you said, it's easy enough to reverse (which I did, out of curiosity). I think people are more worried about Photoshop altering of colors and saturation. . .which happens here already. Thanks for bringing the issue up. Welcome to Polanoid!

Reply from Fresher:

Dear all,

Sorry I guess I'm new to this, I only joined a month ago and I thought we're allowed to post what we want and how we want.

I just wanted to do something to make my Polaroid reflect my personality, We all hide behind closed doors sometimes. This is my closed door, in my little room. The room we all call life.

If it's so easy to invert the colours then it wouldn't be too difficult to just save the picture and invert it again and then you'll see the real me.

But this would not be the me that I wanted you all to see. I guess Scootiepie in her polaroid sums it all up-see her work entitled "TRUTH IS":

"We don't see things as they are, we see things as we are..."-Anais Nin.

We all see things differently, but the camera never lies, that's the beauty. If you want to see me, just invert the colours or solarise this image. For those that want the mystery to continue to intrigue them and who can resist temptation, then this image will be enough.

Anything hidden can be found, but some things are better left alone. (Deliberately Ironic).

Thanks to all who continue to post on here, no matter how banal, how ordinary, how complicated. We all do our own thing and that's what makes us who we are.

Peace, Love and Unity.
