HaHaHa... your story made me LOL a lot! Veronica, after several year, was able to teach me to put the seat down each time!! You will have success too!!! I would suggest you to realize more HIS+HER theme.... it would be so nice!! please please please (or an ON/OFF theme or an UP&DOWN theme)

Sorry, but it's in the Y-cromosme, we can't avoid it. It's a nature mechanism evolutionarily developed to avoid unwished deaths and castrations. When we were monkey-like beings, we had to look carefully where we seated because there were cocrodiles and dinosaurs and bats and stuff. Now, we have to leave the seat up to see, to be sure that there are no creepy monsters hiding in the toilett, waitting patiently to eat our reproductive organs.

i'm a guy, and you have my sympathy. i have three sons. one of them cannot remember to put the seat down. i do, his brothers do. he's generally very thoughtful. i think it's a genetic flaw from his mother's side. it's a behavior that, once developed, can't be unlearned.

^ that's unfortunate that this can't be unlearned! my boyfriend has another bad habit that can't be unlearned... keeping the lights on in rooms that he is no longer in! He leaves the electricity on for everything!!! I think he likes paying outrageous electric bills or something?? I conserve electricity... why should I pay for something I don't need? If you don't need it on- turn it off!

i think that they (men) should have seperate toilets! (preferably outside at the bottom of the garden)

^ we have two bathrooms in my apartment... but he uses both... and so do I... maybe he should just get a pee-bag? so he can pee in a bag strapped to his leg and he can just drain it wherever....

Since three days I know what you are talking about..it is so annoying..and terrible to touch that thing and put it back down lol arghhh...

^ ha! he only puts the seat down after he craps in it and leaves the poop smears in the bowl for me to scrub down with the toliet brush! men are so crude and gross when it comes to toilet manners!
