about 15 years ago I saw that movie called "Stalker"
with a friend that invited me at his friend's house...I was with out words and I felt in love so much that at the end of the film I stole the cassette from him , 'cause I needed to watch it again immediately at my house ...I still have it.!

^ Hahaha.. You know "Stalker" was my first Tarkovsky film too, and I was just as shocked as you when I first saw it.. It just blew me away.. hadnt seen like it before (and probably since... It is really a unique film, one to watch every now and then, so its good you kept the cassete :-)

ps. i read some of his answers about the u.s.s.r. and it really seems like he was instructed to say some of those things... like ... "i want to make movies for the soviet people more than anyone else" and "the mirror wasn't censored at all."

that book! i almost bought it yesterday! it's the one written by a professor at my school.
