can think of no other word than sublime for this series, this is without doubt one of my favourite polaroids ever

^ Wow! Thank you very very much! I was so happy when this one came out. I just couldn't believe how beautiful yet ominous the water looked and how fragile the ships seemed, half sinking and huddled together. It would probably spoil the magic if I explained what was really going on here and how little control I had over the outcome. That's the fascinating thing about polaroids, to me. You take a picture of one thing, and what appears on the photograph goes beyond anything you could have possibly imagined and is so strangely transformed that you wonder if you're awake or dreaming. |

^ Thank you. I come from a sea-faring family. I love paper ships, because they are so fragile and doomed to sink, and yet they still make you feel happy and hopeful when you put them on the water. Even if they only float for a few minutes, it still seems like a great wonder that they ever floated at all. |
