I just read g's comment that you don't use a lightmeter, I'm very impressed!!!! I like this cos you look a little pissed off!

I have so much admiration for your self portraits after a evening on southend seafront realizing I have no real knowledge of what face I'm pulling, or what angle my head is!! It was like I'd never looked in a mirror...jesus, oh, and discovering my camera leaks light like a sieve now with 667...

^ hey, thanks so much for that comment you left ages ago - sorry i didnt have time to reply earlier; i'm literally swamped with work right now! glad to hear you're discovering the joys of selfportraiture :) haha, and no need to be impressed by the non-use of lightmeter - it's really not so complicated, once your eye is used to the different kinds of light. Though, im sure i'd have wasted a little less film, had i had a proper lightmeter in some situations... ;) love your contribution to that project, btw! x

^ hehe, glad to hear some shares my view on the crappiness :) greedy me is holding the old broken 180 (whose slow shutter speeds no longer work), and the photo was taken by the younger healthier 180! goodluck with yours - can't wait to see my neighbor noider in the lineup!

^ oh, thankyou! no it's not the same street - the one you pointed was crowded yesterday, so had to find another, more quiet, one. Looks very similar though, you're right - I seem to have a soft spot for cobblestones :) x

esce que tu a un light meter? tu devrais en acheter un, ca change la vie et tu ne loupe aucune photo apres ca!!
j'ai une bonne address ebay si tu veux...

^ we play what we have around, c'est clair!! non je n'ai toujours pas de lightmeter - au début j'en ai cherché un, et puis avec le temps, j'ai appris à faire mes réglages moi-même. Je commence à être plutôt bien rôdée avec le iso 80 (IDUV, 669), mais avec le iso 3000, c'était une première - j'y suis allée au pif, et je me rends compte à quel point c'est plus difficile de faire une bonne photo en N&B qu'en couleur! (question d'habitude, sûrement). Anyway, glad you like :)
