I like what you said. "Not sure what year. I will check and post later."
It reminds me to my professor when I studied art history. Once, she interrupted a guy holding a lecture and said "no, please, don't just say 'as we can see'. Explain what you see. Because me might not be able to see it as well.". And another time, when we've been in Vienna on an excursion, we were just having a pause, resting somewhere, and she unexpectedly pointed her arm to a church and said "Ok, exercise. This church. From what time is it?" And people were vaguely guessing.. the form of the windows.. the stone.. the whatever.. it was kinda painful. Until somebody asked, ok, from when is it then? And the great thing was - she had no clue. It was not about knowing. It was about learning to see.

So yeah. I like that sentence. Not just leaving us with a eyecharmer. But with an irritation, and a wish to know. And see better.
