Ah now, if you start me off on the subject of guitars (which we should probably not get too much into here as it is DEFINITELY off topic lol!) I will never stop; again, I may produce just as good (or more likely in my case, just as BAD) music with a cheap guitar but you will not get me to say anything other than I would rather have my Les Paul in my hands 10 times out of 10. I wanted one for about 35 years and have finally been lucky enough to be able to buy one - and it handles and plays so beautifully. I also like my Squier Tele, a very good guitar of its type, but I think even the greats such as my super hero Peter Green (a hero as much for surviving and still being there making music as for the mind blowing sounds he recorded circa 1967-1970) would say they preferred to use a good guitar

I partly agree with your first comment and partly disagree; I agree in the sense that it doesn't matter what camera you use; just look at the superb images that have been produced with the cheapest of cheap cameras over the years! I disagree slightly in that if you need to achieve something photographioally that a cheap camera is not capable of, a more expensive and technically capable camera may solve that problem for you. Personally I love cameras, but I regard that as an entirely separate hobby from photography. I love trying out and using different cameras, across the whole spectrum of the different types of photography, but I would be emphatically the last person to suggest that my shots using a 600SE are any better than those taken with a cheap Colour Swinger. Interesting topic!

^ I agree, the most important thing is what you're trying to obtain and feel. You might need sharpness and 1/4000 sometimes, shaking and blur other times... I love cameras as well, and you're right when you say the're a different kind of love. Same for guitars: Jimmy Page was obtaining amazing (and different) both with his black Danelectro, telecaster, les paul...

Ah, I see; I thought this had all been done within the last few days; apologies! And of course it is not to do with money; you might spend £10,000.00 on film and the most expensive cameras and every shot you take is rubbish - its about your vision and abilities

^ You're absolutely right, I know people whose main interest lays in cameras, when they should concentrate on viewing... that's why I recently adopted the pinhole concept. btw: I wish I had the time to produce so many pictures in so little time!!!!!!!!!!!

How much did all this cost? You must be so rich! Nice to have those resources, guranteed to get a good response!

^ I can't understand your questions: this series began in 1991 and more or less ended in 1998, just a couple of 9-shot tables per year, anybody could afford that! Most of my pictures here are first tries, I only had to redo some on the "shapes & things" one because the film gave very different colours due to different emusion number: that is to say that for each table I used just one filmpack. Beside the fact I'm not rich at all, I don't know what resources are you talking about: a second hand Sx-70? a few objects mostly found in flea markets? My shoes? The richness that helped me do this series is inside myself, nothing to do with money. cheers

^ Thanks a lot! It all started out as a way to present something to the final exam at a professional photo course: I was already working and had no time to study... the idea to follow the first one and to create a series began after several months!
