On my way home from taking my boy to a meeting with his possible next school teacher (at an amazing Waldorf school), I came across this house. Ignoring the old zinfandel vines in front (de rigeur out here), the house is, to me, a thing of beauty. Windows and doors are all boarded up, like a Florida home three months out of the year, and the paint is six parts gone, revealing rotten wood frame. That little barn on the right? A perfect studio, no? Ah. . .I'd love to get my hands on this house . . . and the 2.5 million required to buy and fix it.
Oh, the only camera I had in the car was a Polaroid Big Shot, which as very few of you know, only focuses at 5'. Undeterred, I snapped the shot anyway, as I tend to love what the Big Shot does for landscapes.
