Fitchiness, Exemplified
That's Fitch Mountain you see in the distance. Really, it's more of a hill, but around here, we tend to think of our biggest hill as a mountain. At 991 feet, it really isn't much. And, I think that includes the 109 feet above sea level we're already at. Still, if the people who live there want to believe they're high up on a mountain, so be it.
At the base is what's left of the Russian River. By what's left I mean what's left after the gravel companies have been stripping it for one hundred years. It's a sad, sad river but take a little Polaroid with some Choco80 film, and BOOM it's Wayback Machine time and this could be 1923. Interesting how green it gets on the fringes. . .
