The girl you used to know
I've changed so much, since you last saw me. I wonder if you'd even recognise me now; the girl who caught your eye for a summer, when she fluttered across your path. The one who used to laugh so much. The girl who had all the fun. Sometimes I wish you would turn up on my doorstep, out of the blue, and take me away to whatever place it is that you're at. But then I remember how different I am now, and I'm glad you're not here to see the change. I don't mind for myself, so much. I'm wiser now. I think I've gained a little, character-wise, but still, I don't think I could bear to see the disappointment in your eye, when you see what I've become and realise that the one you knew lies dead and buried beneath this ravaged face of stone.

Tip:
Depress people: take pictures in graveyards, then write sad little stories to go with them.
